July 6-8 Oasis Riverview Campground. Maupin, OR "WetWesties on the Bridge". Maupin is 40 miles south of the Dalles via State Highway 197. It's 90 miles north of Bend & 90 miles east of Portland.An easy 5-hour drive from the Seattle area.The adjacent Deschutes river is a fly fishing, river rafting & kayaking destination.Contact Terry for directions and info.

August 1-3 (mid-week) "2001 Cave Odyssey"

Fort Rock vicinity, South Eastern Oregon

Hosted by Robert Keezer , this promises to be a special event, geared for the adventure-minded. Bob knows of a certain group of interesting caves lost somewhere in SE Oregon. We'll spend a couple of days exploring the area, and then caravan north to Hood River for the weekend's Gorgeous Gathering (see next event).You can join us for all or part of the odyssey. August 4-5 The GORGEous Gathering, Hood River, OR This show, swap meet and camping event has traditionally included a large number of wetwestians, primarily because it is such a fun and well organized event. Some of us will be caravaning from the "Cave Odyssey" this year(see previous listing). Hosted by wetwestian and Gorge VW Club member Craig Spaeth. Go to their website for all the details.
